At IKEA, the Cooking & Eating department for FY26 was conceived as a spatial narrative centered on connection, ritual, and everyday life in the kitchen—aligned with its role as a central business initiative for the year.

The design approach reimagined the shop as a cohesive journey, where displays and wayfinding moments worked in unison to create clarity, rhythm, and flow.

Each intervention was intentionally placed to frame product stories within real-life contexts, emphasizing gathering, preparation, and shared meals. The result is a comprehensive and immersive environment that intuitively guides customers while reinforcing the kitchen as a central stage for family interaction and meaningful daily rituals.
